Juventus are closing in the signing of Espanyol defender Hector Moreno, according to Radio Formula.
The 27-year-old centre-back has been in good form for the Spanish side this season and has gained plaudits from a number of top European clubs.
Having joined the La Liga side from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, Moreno is now regarded as one of the most consistently impressive defenders in Spanish football, making 19 appearances for Espanyol this season.
Currently valued at £15m, Moreno has been tipped with a summer exit and it understood that Juventus have beaten off the likes of Arsenal by almost agreeing a deal with the defender.
Moreno is expected to join the Serie A club and bolster their defensive options ahead of next season.
