Manchester United are ready to test Chelsea‘s interest in Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi this summer, according to reports.
Scouts from United were in attendance for Inter’s weekend clash with Hellas Verona and were suitably impressed by what they saw of the Argentine striker.
Icardi has netted 17 goals this season for the Serie A club but doubts over his future have been large in the press, following a stall in contract negotiations over a new deal.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has long been linked, having been a fan of the young striker since his days at Barcelona.
United are keen to replace both Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie this summer and believe Icardi is the perfect choice.
