Liverpool are planning to make a summer move for Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez, if Raheem Sterling leaves the club.

England international Sterling has rejected numerous deals at Anfield this season, prompting a number of Premier League sides and La Liga sides to show interest.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are now leading the race to sign the tricky winger, and it is understood that Liverpool have indicated Pedro as the man to replace Sterling.

The Spanish winger has fallen behind the likes of Neymar and Luis Suarez in terms of a starting place the Camp Nou and is expected to be available for a fee of around £22m this summer.

Arsenal have also been labelled with interest in the Spain international, who has played a big part in both his country’s and Barca’s recent successes.
