Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels says his future will be made clear in the ‘coming weeks’.

The German central defender has long been linked with a move away from Dortmund and those reports have now gathered pace as Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal continues to look for a new central defender.

It was reported in January that Hummels, had agreed in principle a move to Old Trafford for the summer, although those reports are yet to be confirmed by either club.

And, the World Cup winning centre-back has discussed his future, saying it will be made clear in the coming weeks.

“It doesn’t mean that I am leaving, it just means I’m reflecting,” he told Sky Sports this weekend.

“There is no particular tendency one way or the other. It’s just thoughts going through my mind. It will all become clearer in the coming weeks.”

Hummels has two years left on his current deal with the 2013 Champions League finalists.
