Southampton are preparing an emergency loan move for Chelsea keeper Petr Cech, according to various reports.

The Saints have recently lost number one keeper Fraser Forster to injury and have called on Kelvin Davis to take his place.

However, according to reports, Saints boss Ronald Koeman is keen to discuss with Chelsea the possibility of signing Cech on loan for the remainder of the season, which would be sanctioned by the Premier League.

Cech has played second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois this season and has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, gaining interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and other top European clubs.

Chelsea have informed all interested parties that the keeper can leave this summer for a fee of £10m.
