Oriol Romeu is ready to call time on his career at Stamford Bridge and quit Chelsea this summer, according to Daily Mirror.

The Spanish midfielder joined Chelsea in 2011 from Barcelona but has failed to force his way into the Blues starting eleven, having made just 15 league starts.

Currently on loan with Bundesliga club Stuttgart, Romeu is enjoying regular football on the back of a spell with Valencia last season.

Speaking this weekend, the 23-year-old has discussed his desire to leave Chelsea this summer.

“In June I’ll speak with Chelsea to know their intentions.

“After two seasons on loan, the ideal would be settling into a club to get some stability. Every player needs continuity.”
