Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted every player has a price during Raheem Sterling’s refusal to sign a new contract with Liverpool, reports the Independent.

Sterling has now openly told the media that he rejected a £100,00-a-week deal with Liverpool this week and has gained interest from a host of Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, but the Reds insist that he is not for sale.

And when the Blues boss was quizzed about how he would deal with such a situation, Mourinho said he believes all players have a price, even Chelsea’s No.10 star Eden Hazard.

“I don’t like players that don’t want to play for me and my club. My opinion is every player has a price,” he said.

“It doesn’t matter which player. Every player has a price. If you ask me now, for example, Eden Hazard. We can speak about him because he’s signed a new contract.

“Do I want him to leave Chelsea? No. If he wants to leave and doesn’t want to work with me, doesn’t want to play for Chelsea, does Eden Hazard have a price? I think he has a price.

“He’s the best player in the Premier League, but I could talk about a normal player, too – every player has a price.”
