Arsenal are now looking likely to miss out on summer target Pedro Rodriguez as Barcelona are reportedly keen on a swap deal involving the forward and Inter Milan, reports Talk Sport.

Arsenal had been keen to sign the unsettled winger and complete a £24.8m deal, but now it is suggested Spanish giants Barcelona have other ideas.

Barca have apparently turned their attention to signing Inter star Mateo Kovacic, and hope that adding Pedro into the deal will convince the Serie A side to sell.

The La Liga giants are currently under a transfer ban until January 2016, and Kovacic looks likely to be set on a move away from the San Siro this summer.

But Barcelona are hoping that by offering the 27-year-old into the deal, it will convince Inter to keep hold of Kovacic until January.
