Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling, according to the Daily Mail.
Sterling’s future at Liverpool is likely to end after he apparently rejected a second offer of a new deal, and has officially put negotiations on hold.
Premier League rivals Arsenal have been monitoring his availability and are looking to land the 20-year-old in a summer move, but now reports suggest Chelsea are set to make a bid for the winger.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is known to be a fan of Sterling and has been kept in the know of any developments ahead of a potential summer move.
The England international is thought the be rated in the region of £50m.
Chelsea are currently top of the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 67 points, with Arsenal in third on 60 points.
