Inter Milan have claimed that signing Yaya Toure this summer from Manchester City may be ‘too expensive’.

The Ivory Coast international has been a key figure in City’s recent successes since joining them from Catalan giants Barcelona, but came close to departing the club last summer after reportedly being unhappy following a number of off-field incidents.

Toure, who is currently on international duty with his country at the Africa Cup of Nations; has once again been linked with an exit after further claims he is unhappy at the Etihad stadium.

And, further failed contract negotiations have led Inter to believe they can complete a summer move.

However, Inter chief Marco Fassone has claimed such a move may prove too impossible.

“Who doesn’t dream of having a player like him?” Fassone told Tuttosport.

“Touré would give our midfield line something that we are lacking. But his wages and City’s asking price might be a big obstacle.”
