Liverpool have slapped a £50m price tag on Raheem Sterling after interest from Arsenal and Manchester City, according to Daily Telegraph.

The young England international has been locked in contract talks with the Merseyside club since the turn of the year as they hope to fend off interest from the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Sterling has already said no to a contract offer of £100,000-a-week and it is now understood that he will also turn his nose up at a massive £180,000-a-week deal, according to the Daily Mail.

The contract rejection will see the winger’s time at Anfield come to an end with Arsenal said to be extremely keen on a summer bid, whilst Man City are also said to be keen.

The interest from Liverpool’s Premier League rivals has now prompted the Anfield club to put a £50m asking price in the youngster’s shoulders.
