Raheem Sterling is believed to have told his close friends and agent that he will reject a new £180,000-a-week contract offer from Liverpool.
The young England international has been locked in contract talks with the Merseyside club since the turn of the year as they hope to fend off interest from the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Sterling has already said no to a contract offer of £100,000-a-week, but it is now understood that he will also turn his nose up at a massive £180,000-a-week deal, according to the Daily Mail.
The contract rejection will see the winger’s time at Anfield come to an end with Arsenal said to be extremely keen on a summer bid of around £25m.
Manchester City have also been keeping an eye on the situation and are said to have entered tentative talks with Liverpool officials.
