Football Express News understands that Chelsea have held a board meeting over the £75m bid for Gareth Bale, proposed for this summer.
Following a season of ups and downs for Bale at Real Madrid, a number of links to Premier League sides have begun to gain pace with Manchester United and Chelsea linked.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward scored a brace for Wales against Israel yesterday, but has endured a torrid season in Spain and it’s very likely Real Madrid will be willing to do business with prospective suitors.
Bale is believed to have had a £75M buy out clause included in his contract and it is understood that Chelsea officials have held a board meeting to agree on a summer bid of that amount.
Although, Bale has reiterated his desire to stay in Madrid, it is difficult seeing his current employers reject a bid of £75M.
