Former Man United trialist Freddy Adu moves to Finland

Finnish club Kuopion Palloseura have confirmed that they have signed Freddy Adu.

The 25-year-old former United States international was tipped to become one of the greatest footballers when he made his debut for DC United at just 14-years-old.

However, since his departure in 2007, after which he had a two-week trial with Premier League side Man United; Adu has played for nine different clubs in seven different countries.

His most recent club before signing for mid-table Kuopion was Serbian side FK Jagodina, but he was released after failing to live up to their expectations had been a free agent.

Adu has made just two senior footballing appearances in two years.
