Chelsea forward Eden Hazard believes Kevin de Bruyne’s departure from Chelsea is a shame after seeing him prosper in the Bundesliga.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho decided to sell the Belgian forward last season and having impressed with Werder Bremen on loan; he was quickly snapped up by Wolfsburg.
His form has been impressive to say the least, scoring nine goals and gaining 16 assists this season, prompting speculation of a move to Manchester United, Manchester City or a return to Stamford Bridge.
“He is a great player. Mourinho decided to let him go and not play him. It was not my decision, even though I know very well that he could play at Chelsea because he has tremendous qualities,” Hazard told L’Equipe.
“I think at Chelsea, you have more pressure than Wolfsburg. It’s a shame he’s gone but he’ll have a successful career.”
