Nigel Pearson has bemoaned a penalty awarded to Tottenham Hotspur in his side’s 4-3 defeat at White Hart Lane.

Leicester had held their own against Spurs on Saturday afternoon but a spot kick awarded to the home side saw the Premier League strugglers surrender another three points.

“The first two goals are disappointing and another dubious decision. It’s difficult to accept another contentious decision not going our way,” the club’s Twitter account quoted the manager as saying.

“Our players gave everything. Spurs scored four but will feel relieved to win. It’s nine to go now, it’s hard to take.

“We conceded four today, so I can’t go over the top about our performance, but we played with a lot of quality at time.”

The result means Pearson’s side remain at the bottom of the table.
