Manchester United keeper David de Gea has rejected another contract offer from the club, prompting further speculation that he could join Real Madrid.
The Spaniard has been locked in contract talks with United since the turn of the year as speculation linking him with a move back to Spain with Real Madrid continues to gain pace.
The European champions are keen to replace Iker Casillas this coming summer and see the former Atletico Madrid stopper as the perfect man to wear the number one shirt at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 24-year-old has been in superb form this season but United are now fearful they will lose him after a latest contract offer was rejected.
A reported deal worth £140,000 per week was offered by United to De Gea’s officials, but the Spaniard’s camp have rebuffed it and decided against negotiating the deal.
De Gea will enter the final year of his contract in June.
