Juventus will be without midfielder Paul Pogba for 50 days after he suffered an injury in the midweek Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund.
The 22-year-old has been in superb form this season and has played an important part in the Italian club’s season so far, helping them gain a 14-point advantage in the league and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
However, the club have now confirmed that he will be out of action until May after suffering a hamstring injury against Dortmund on Wednesday.
“Paul Pogba, who was brought off during the first half of Dortmund-Juventus, has been medically examined,” a statement on the club’s website reads.
“Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the initial suspicion of a second-degree injury to Pogba’s right hamstring. The recovery schedule for the midfielder is due to take 50 days.”
