Liverpool have identified Arsenal’s Theo Walcott as a potential replacement for Raheem Sterling, according to Daily Telegraph.

Anfield winger Sterling is not a certainty to remain at the club past the summer after contract negotiations continue to stall.

The England international has been strongly linked with a summer exit, prompting the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City to show interest, with the latter keen to make a £50m move.

Liverpool bosses are now growing concerned that they will lose the young attacker and have started to look elsewhere for a potential replacement.

And, it is understood that they are keen on making a summer move for Theo Walcott, who is also under contract negotiations at Arsenal.

Walcott has struggled this season with injuries and poor form, and it is though that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to sell a number of players and replace them, with Walcott being on that list.
