Former Man United target Martin Odegaard linked with Southampton move

Former Manchester United target Martin Odegaard has been linked with a move to Southampton on loan.

Attacking midfielder Odegaard joined Real Madrid in January for a fee of £2m from Stromgodset after impressing for the Norwegian club side and national side, whom he made his debut with at the age of 15.

Now, 16, the youngster is developing with Madrid’s Castilla side who play in the third division, but it is being reported that he could be loaned out to gain experience this summer.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is said to be happy and has send scouts to watch the attacker in action this in recent weeks.

Both Manchester United and Liverpool were tracking Odegaard before he signed for the Spanish giants.
