Reports in Spain and on BeIN Sports claim that Radamel Falcao will join Real Madrid following the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Falcao, who has been forced to miss his country’s World Cup finals due to injury has been strongly linked with Real Madrid since he left Atletico Madrid last summer for French side Monaco, with super agent Jorge Mendes keen for his client to return to the Spanish capital.

Premier League clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked to the former Porto striker but it is now reported that a deal has been agreed and that Falcao will move to Madrid following the World Cup, in which he is following his country closely.

The 28-year-old still owns a house and has family in Madrid and after a tough time with Ligue 1 side Monaco, is said to be extremely happy with a return to the country where he scored 70 goals in 91 games for Atletico Madrid.

His time with Monaco was blighted last season with injury, seeing him score just 11 goals in 19 games but Madrid are fond of his ability.

Should the move be true, rivals Barcelona will be buoyed as it it would be unlikely that Madrid would join them in making a move for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.
