Shakhtar Donetsk’s Douglas Costa has openly been showing his love for Chelsea and his desire to move there in the summer transfer window, and according to the latest rumours his wish is about to be granted.

The Sun’s Mike McGrath claims that both clubs have agreed on a fee for Costa’s transfer to the blues. The deal will see the 24-year-old move to West London at the end of the season for a fee around the £18 million region.

He states: “The Brazilian midfielder has agreed in principle to sign for the Premier League leaders at the end of the season in an £18million deal.

“Chelsea will monitor the 24-year-old’s fitness between now and the end of the season before landing him from Shakhtar Donetsk.

“Costa has previously suffered knee problems but is confident of proving his fitness before sealing his dream move to Stamford Bridge.”

Costa’s talent is superb, but after the Blues recent purchase of Juan Cuadrado do they really need another midfielder added to there already talented list?

With both Hazard and Willian already cementing there starting 11 position that leaves one position open for Cuadrado, Oscar and Costa, with Mohamed Salah impressing at Fiorentina and rejoining Chelsea at the end of the season.

With Juan Cuadrado, Willian and Costa’s playing style all similar, Costa will surely need to impress Mourinho in Chelsea’s pre-season campaign and in training sessions.
