Luis Suarez’s father in law has told Spanish media that the time is right for the Liverpool man to make a move to La Liga, following interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Gustavo Balbi, was quizzed about the future of Suarez at Liverpool following heavy interest from Barca and Madrid, which has strongly developed in the last week, following his two-goal performance against England in the World Cup.

Balbi, the father of Suarez’s wife Sofia, who lives in Castelldefels, near Barcelona, told La Sexta: “This is the right moment for him to move.

“He has shown all that he is. He has nothing else to prove. If he leave the Premier League, his best option would be to come here in Spain.”

Mundo Deportivo claim that talks have progressed at speed this week, with agent Pare Guardiola, brother of former Barca boss Pep, having played a big part in such talks.

Whilst, Barca are confident that they can find the release clause set in Suarez’s contract, further reports in Spain claim that Pedro Rodriguez or Alexis Sanchez could be set for a move to Liverpool, making such a move for Suarez cheaper than first expected.

“In Liverpool he is very loved and respected, so he would not go to another English club out of respect for the fans. We would like him here, to have the kids here in Spain. I am convinced he would do well if he came here, ” Balbi added.
