Crystal Palace hopeful of completing move for Chelsea striker

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has identified Chelsea striker Loic Remy as his number one transfer target this summer.

Remy was much the subject of transfer talk last summer as both Arsenal and Chelsea made moves to sign the Frenchman and he would later join the latter.

The former Marseille striker has struggled for game time this season at Stamford Bridge but has been in good form when given the chance and Palace boss Pardew has remained keen.

Pardew and Remy have worked together before during their time at Newcastle United and it is now reported by the Daily Star that the English manager wants to force a summer move.

Remy has scored five goals for Chelsea this season and it is understood that the Blues would be looking at a figure of around £10m from Palace.
