Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has agreed a move to Barcelona in principle, according to Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo.

Suarez returned from injury to score two sublime goals against England last week and his performance in that game has since gained further interest from Spain’s big two Real Madrid and Barcelona.

And, it is highly reported that the latter are ready to make a substantial bid to Liverpool after agreeing personal terms with Suarez, which will see him make a move to La Liga this summer.

Mundo Deportivo claim that talks have progressed at speed this week, with agent Pare Guardiola, brother of former Barca boss Pep, having played a big part in such talks.

It is also reported that Suarez is keen to make the move so that he can be closer to his wife’s family, who live a short car journey away from Barcelona, in Castelldefels.

Whilst, Barca are confident that they can find the release clause set in Suarez’s contract, further reports in Spain claim that Pedro Rodriguez or Alexis Sanchez could be set for a move to Liverpool, making such a move for Suarez cheaper than first expected.

Suarez will be in action for Uruguay on Tuesday night as his side face a must-win game against Italy in the World Cup.
