Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes the ‘right’ Arsenal can challenge his side for the Premier League title.
The Blues suffered a setback in their pursuit for the title as they were held at home by Southampton on Sunday, whilst Arsenal beat West Ham United 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to close in on second placed Manchester City.
Having watched the Gunners this season, Mourinho is well aware of their quality, but has also remembered their recent inconsistency in the Champions League, claiming if the right Arsenal turns up, then they could make a title challenge.
He told reporters: “Of course. Seven points behind Chelsea and one less match to play. Our position is better than them but I think so. More teams are in it.”
“What momentum? 3-1 against Monaco? Or 3-0 against West Ham? Depends on the momentum.”
Chelsea remain top of the league and have one game in hand over Man City, sitting six points clear.
