Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen has described his the fantastic feeling after his side beat Dundee United 2-0 in the Scottish League Cup final.

The Hoops clinched their first trophy under manager Ronny Deila with goals from Kris Commons and James Forrest on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic are currently three points clear in the Scottish Premiership with a game in hand and face United again in the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup on Wednesday evening.

“There’s still a long way to go for the treble but this is the first trophy,” Johansen told BBC Sport.

“We struggled in the beginning of the season, but I was sure the gaffer was going to do brilliant things here. It’s just a fantastic feeling. I said when I came to Celtic I wanted to win trophies.

“I enjoy playing under him [Ronny Deila], he understands how to get the best out of me, he believes in me. I am really enjoying my football right now.”
