Southampton keeper Fraser Forster has revealed his delight after his side held Premier League leaders Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues took the lead through Diego Costa but Forster and his team-mates battled back to level the score at Stamford Bridge and return South with a precious point.

Jose Mourinho’s side pushed for a winner in the second half but the England international keeper was superb in keeping the likes of Costa, Juan Cuadrado and Eden Hazard out.

Forster told Sky Sports News: “They really came at us in the second half. We played well in the first-half and were unfortunate to only have a penalty.

“We knew we were going to have defend and absolutely delighted to get a point. It’s a great point and sets us up for the last nine games of the season.”

Southampton sit sixth in the table with a point.
