Jamie Redknapp has heavily criticised the performance of Manchester City after they lost 1-0 to Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday evening.
Manuel Pellegrini’s slipped further off league leaders Chelsea who now have a five point advantage and two games in hand in the race for the Premier League title.
And, former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp has heaped criticism on the City players, calling their performance ‘shambolic’.
“City were shambolic, I’m so disappointed in them,” Redknapp told Sky Sports News. “That’s the sort of performance that gets managers the sack.
“Everyone will be talking about Manuel Pellegrini but the players should be embarrassed with how they played today to a man, it was such a poor performance.”
City face Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday evening.
