Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez has revealed his happiness in the Premier League after enjoying a good start to his career at the Emirates Stadium.

The 26-year-old has been in good form since his £30m move from Barcelona last summer, scoring 19 goals in 39 games, a massive contrast to that of former Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria, who has struggled at Manchester United.

Sanchez, who was among the best players in Spanish football with the Argentine last season, has discussed his move to England and said he loves life in England.

“My spell here [has been] a really positive one,” he told the club’s official website. “I like the city a lot and I feel really comfortable at the club.

“Supporters here are very cheerful and enlivening, which is a very nice thing. My teammates are really kind, too. My goal now is to take Arsenal as high as possible.

“I’m well adapted to the country and the league – I must keep on learning, though. I want to expand my knowledge of English football in general and Arsenal and my team-mates in particular, but overall I love this league. At the end of the day, football was invented in this country, right? I live where football was invented. That makes me really happy.”
