Manchester City are keeping tabs on Carlo Ancelotti, who could be replaced this summer by Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, according to Marca.

Madrid president Florentino Perez is said to be unhappy with recent performances and recent comments made by Iker Casillas about the level of morale in the dressing room at Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid’s recent poor form has seen them lose their grip on the La Liga title with Barcelona leapfrogging them on the weekend, whilst a 4-3 defeat at home to Schalke on Tuesday night in the Champions League was met with jeers and white hanker-chiefs at full-time, despite their progression to the quarter-finals.

Zidane has long been expected to take the reigns at Madrid since he began his coaching badges at the club recently and has spent time in charge of Real Madrid Castilla.

Ancelotti, has one year remaining on his current deal but is now a reported target for Man City, who are keen to replace Manuel Pellegrini if the Chilean coach fails to bring them Champions League or Premier League success.
