Arsenal lose ‘The Ox’ for four weeks through injury

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could miss the next four weeks of action for Arsenal after suffering a hamstring injury against Man United on Monday evening.

The England international was forced to leave the field in the second half of the 2-1 win over United at Old Trafford with what seemed to be hamstring problems.

And, following a scan and further medical tests, it is now likely that the midfielder will be out of action for around a month.

That means the 21-year-old is likely to miss games against West Ham United and Liverpool, plus the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Monaco next week.

He could also miss England’s matches against Lithuania and Italy, although an exact time-frame of his expected return is set to be announced by the North London club.
