West Ham United have been told to pay £10m for Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson.

The 23-year-old full-back is currently on loan with the Hammers and has largely impressed under the guidance of Sam Allardyce.

Having signed for Arsenal back in 2011, Jenkinson originally featured for the Gunners and forced his way in Roy Hodgson’s England side, making his debut in 2012 against Sweden.

However, following the summer signing of Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United, the former Charlton Athletic defender was loaned across London to Upton Park.

And, following interest to make the move permanent from Hammers co-owner David Gold; Arsenal have informed their Premier League counter-parts of the asking price – set at £10m.

Jenkinson has a contract at Arsenal until 2018.
