Ex-Arsenal striker Sylvain Wiltord his horror after two helicopters crashed killing 10 people, including three French sports stars, on a reality TV show in Argentina.

The two choppers were carrying cast and crew on their way to film ‘Dropped’, a popular European reality show filmed in Argentine, before they crashed, killing everyone on board, including two Olympic medal winners and a national sailing champion.

Wiltord, one of the other contestants, was not in either helicopter, but he tweeted: “I’m sad for my friends, I’m trembling, I’m horrified, I have no words, I don’t want to say anything.”

The helicopters collided in mid-air on Monday near Villa Castelli in La Rioja, about 730 miles from Buenos Aires.

Photographs showed the burning and smoking wreckage of the helicopters on the ground where people had gathered to see the outcome of the incident.

Filming has since been suspended and the crew and other contestants, will now head back to France.

Among the dead were French Olympic gold medal swimmer Camille Muffat, Olympic boxer Alexis Vastine and sailor Florence Arthaud.
