Manchester City midfielder James Milner has spoken with Italian trio AC Milan, Inter and Roma over a potential summer move.

The 29-year-old will see his contract expire at the end of the season and he has been struggling to agree new terms with current club Man City.

The England international is keen to sign a long-term deal at the Etihad stadium but City bosses are only willing to offer a short-term deal, seeing negotiations stall.

Milner has received interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal.

Former Aston Villa man Milner has been in good form this season but both Brendan Rodgers and Arsene Wenger remain unsure over paying him that amount at the age of 29.

Leaving the likes of AC Milan, Inter and Roma to show interest and it is understood that talks have been initiated with Milner keen on playing in the Serie A.
