Summer move for Hazard imminent

Thorgan-Hazard

Chelsea’s budding on-loan starlet Thorgan Hazard, younger brother of first team favourite Eden, is set to bid farewell to his Belgian on-loan club Zulte Waregem this summer.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has a similar playing style to his elder sibling Eden and is looking to raise the bar by joining a bigger club following two years with the Juliper Pro Ligue side and proving himself a big fish in a small pond.

Hazard won the prestigious Belgian Golden Boot award at the beginning of this year which saw him crowned best player in the Belgian league and capture the attention of top five Premier League clubs.

It has been reported that the youngster is a target for Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton, with Reds boss Brendan Rodgers and Toffees boss Roberto Martinez rumoured to be weighing up their options and discussing deals with parent club Chelsea.

The latest club to show an interest in the talented Belgian is Spanish La Liga side Valencia, who have just boosted funds by securing financial standing with a new owner, Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim.

Valencia, who finished eight in the league in 2014, are looking to strengthen the squad and increase their firepower next season with Hazard high on their most wanted list.

Another possibility for Hazard junior is a return to west London and a shot next season in the first team playing with big brother Eden at Chelsea.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho, who recently made trips to Belgium with assistant Riu Faria to monitor the youngster’s form, is said to be impressed with the player’s improvement and could make a decision any day now on his immediate future.
