Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson has admitted that he could move abroad this summer as his current deal expires.

The 30-year-old’s contract is due to expire this summer and he is fully expected to end his five-year spell at the Merseyside club.

Whilst the futures of Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson continue to be discussed at Anfield, Johnson has already begun talks with a number of foreign clubs over a potential summer move.

Something he has now opened up about in a recent interview with Press Association, saying: “There are talks. It would be great for the kids to go abroad but I am not thinking about yet as we have two months left here and I’ll think about it after that.

“We will have to wait and see.”

The former England international made his first start for the Reds in 12 games in the FA Cup tie with Blackburn Rovers.
