Manchester United have received a major boost in their bid to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford as Real Madrid president Florentino Perez prepares to cash in on the 30-year-old.

All seems not well between Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid as news coming out from the Spanish captial has it that club President, Florentino Perez is entertaining thoughts of selling the current FIFA Ballon D’Or player of the year.

The Portuguese forward has turned 30 last month and has been out of form recently, having failed to score in three La Liga games in February.

Problems off the field with his knee are also a concern amongst Madrid officials and it is now understood that Perez is seriously tempted to sell, and will be more so, if the Spanish side fail to win a title this season.

Madrid lost 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao on Saturday afternoon and could drop to second if Barcelona beat Rayo Vallecano on Sunday morning.

Clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG who can afford to cough up Real’s asking price have been alerted to his potential sale.

Although, it’s widely believed he’ll favour a move back to Manchester United should he move and the Red Devils are listening with open ears to the developments in Madrid.
