Liverpool are preparing a summer move for Fiorentina keeper Neto, as a move for Chelsea’s Petr Cech now looks out of the question.

32-year-old Cech is fully expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after losing hisstarting place to Thibaut Courtois, however, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has said that he will NOT be sold for a cheap price.

Liverpool have been extremely keen as boss Brendan Rodgers looks to replace Simon Mignolet, who has been fairly inconsistent this season.

However, despite their interest in Cech, the Merseyside club have informed their Premier League counter-parts that they do have alternatives.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Northern Irish coach is monitoring the progress of Atalanta keeper Marco Sportiello and Fiorentina’s Neto.

And, it is understood that boss Rodgers has made contact over the latter, preparing a summer move that would see the Brazilian earn around £125,000-a-week.

Neto will see his contract expire next summer and he is reportedly looking to leave Serie A and find a bigger club.
