AC Milan will pay Chelsea ‘nothing’ for the loan of Marco van Ginkel as the midfielder has failed to play over 20 games.

The 22-year-old is currently on a season-long loan with Milan but has struggled to make an impact at San Siro.

The Dutchman was deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge last summer and was sent to Milan in the hope that the Serie A side would complete a permanent move this year.

According to Sport Mediaset, Milan informed Chelsea officials that NO deal will take place and that he will return to England in June.

And, further reports claim that the Italian club will not have to pay a fee for the initial loan, seeing the midfielder fail to make more than 20 appearances.

The Netherlands international has made just five appearances in all competitions.
