Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to allow Mikel Arteta, Abou Diaby and Mathieu Flamini to leave the club this summer.

A report in the Daily Express claims that the French boss has sat down with officials at the club this week and discussed his plans for next season.

The midfield trio are now fully expected to be moved on with Diaby and Flamini set to leave on a free transfer as their current contracts expire in June.

Spaniard Arteta has a deal until next summer but it is understood he can leave for a fee of around £3m.

Fans and pundits close to the club have called for Wenger’s sacking recently, whilst many have questioned the commitment and desire of the players.

However, the Arsenal board are set too stick with their trust in the Frenchman and give him one more year at the club, in which they have given an ultimatum to deliver either the Premier League title or the Champions League.

It is understood that he will be handed a transfer kitty of £50m to bolster his squad ahead of next season and the exit of the aforementioned trio will free up wages.
