Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis has said he is feeling ‘fine’ after collapsing at White Hart Lane in Wednesday’s Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Frenchman has a history of fainting during his career and dropped to the ground in the sixth minute , prompting medics and physic’s to rush on the field, in what looked like a similar episode to that of Fabrice Muamba.

However, Gomis quickly regained conciousness and he has thanked fans for their messages of support, before explaining more about his condition.

“I wanted to reassure you concerning my health, it actually looks much more scary than physically dangerous and I am feeling well now,” he wrote on Twitter.

“I have been under a great deal of stress and fatigue due to my father health that requires me to go back and forth to France.

“I was disappointed that I couldn’t help my team tonight but now everything is back in order. I also want to thank everyone for their support and get well messages.”
