Manchester City fans have voted against starting Vincent Kompany for the midweek clash with Leicester City, according to Manchester Evening News.
Pressure is growing heavy on Man City after two defeats in the space of seven days saw them look unlikely to move past Barcelona in the Champions League and slip five points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Captain Kompany has been one of the club’s most consistent performers in recent seasons, having guided them to two Premier League titles.
But, fans of the club have seemingly become upset with his recent displays, voting in a recent poll by the Manchester daily to not include the Belgian international in the game against Nigel Pearson’s side.
He is replaced by Argentine Martin Demichelis, while Blues fans want Gael Clichy back in the starting eleven.
