Dani Alves’ agent Dinorah Santana has claimed that the Barcelona full-back is close to agreeing a deal with another club.
The Brazilian defender will see his current deal at the Camp Nou expire this summer and with no new contract offered; he is firmly expected to leave the club.
Links to a number of top European clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain have been maintained and his agent and former wife, Santana, has claimed a deal is close.
“We are close to signing for another club. We are in advanced talks,” she told Rac1.
“Dani is still available for Barcelona to keep hold of this summer, but he will not wait for them for much longer.
“People are trying to make Dani look like the bad guy in this situation and that’s wrong. This situation is quite tiresome.”
Alves joined Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2008 and has played an important part in their recent successes.
