Winston Bogarde has reportedly applied for the vacant manager job at Football League One side Oldham Athletic.
The former Dutch defender had a fairly successful playing career, having played for Barcelona and the Dutch national side, whilst he also featured for Chelsea, gaining fame for his payout of £10m following injury problems at the club which restricted him to just four appearances.
The 44-year-old is reportedly one of 70 people to have contacted the club about the vacant managerial role at the club.
It is thought Oldham are in no rush to appoint a new manager but are keen to discuss terms with former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes.
Lee Johnson, ex-West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine and Iain Dowie have also been linked.
