Real Madrid and Liverpool want to sign Villarreal striker Luciano Vietto, according to his agent.
Argentine Vietto has somewhat of a breakthrough season in La Liga, having joined Villarreal last summer from Argentine side Racing Club.
He has since scored 16 goals in all competitions and has helped the Spanish side to a Europa League last-16 place and a Copa del Rey semi-final, where they will face Barcelona this Wednesday in the second leg.
His form has caught the attention of potential suitors Real Madrid and Liverpool this season and it is the latter who are considering a summer move.
And, that has been confirmed by his agent, who told reporters: “We know that many powerful clubs are following Luciano Vietto.
“There is great competition to sign him. He can sign for Liverpool because we know he likes the setup there … there is also Real Madrid and, I think, two German teams.
“I think he could leave Villarreal at the end of the season.”
