Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes that Manchester United are not out of the title race, despite being 10 points behind the Premier League leaders.

The Blues have a five-point lead over second-place Manchester City following Liverpool’s victory on Sunday, but despite feeling confident about his side’s chances of winning the Premier League; Mourinho has discussed how any of the chasing pack could lift the trophy.

“It’s in the hands of everyone,” ESPN quotes Mourinho as saying. “We have lots of difficult matches to play.

“City have difficult matches. [United] are in the title race too. Liverpool [beating Manchester City] – I predicted that.”

Chelsea lifted the League Cup trophy yesterday after beating Tottenham 2-0 at Wembley thanks to goals from John Terry and Diego Costa.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has also cited his desire to win more trophies at Stamford Bridge.

“I am like a kid winning the first one,” he told BBC Sport. “It’s hard for me to live without titles. I need to feed myself with them.”
