Former Arsenal winger Gervinho has been subject to racial taunts by Feyenoord fans whilst playing form Roma in the Europa League tonight.

After last week’s Champions League incident which involved Chelsea fans racially abusing a Paris civilian, UEFA and FIFA had hoped for no incidents this week.
However, concerns over off-the-pitch issues ahead of Feyenoord’s second leg Europa League clash with Roma continued to worry football’s governing bodies.
Whilst trouble off the pitch was quiet, an incident which is being reported as racial has occurred on the pitch after fans of the Dutch club threw inflatable bananas in the direction of Roma winger Gervinho.
