AC Milan have decided against a permanent move for Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel, according to reports in Italian press.

The 22-year-old is currently on a season-long loan with Milan but has struggled to make an impact at San Siro.

The Dutchman was deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge last summer and was sent to Milan in the hope that the Serie A side would complete a permanent move this year.

According to Sport Mediaset, Milan have informed Chelsea officials that NO deal will take place and that he will return to England in June.

The Netherlands international has made just five appearances in all competitions.
