Mauricio Pochettino is concentrating on Thursday evening’s Europa League tie with Fiorentina, despite the League One Cup final with Chelsea on Sunday.

Spurs will head to Florence for the second leg needing to score at least once after being held by Vincenzo Montello’s side at White Hart Lane last week.

They will then prepare for Sunday’s trip to Wembley, where they will face Premier League rivals Chelsea in the first domestic cup final of the English season.

Despite the chance of first silverware since 2008, Pochettino is keen to highlight the importance of Thursday’s round of 32 clash.

“Thursday will be a difficult game,” he told reporters. “I think this is our first final before Sunday as Fiorentina are only one game from going into the next round.

“We know that we need to score as the score is 1-1 but we are confident. We are confident to take the game on Thursday and we will try to get the victory.

“It is another final and we need to decide [on who plays] because we have played two very tough games against Fiorentina and West Ham. So we need to analyse and decide the strongest team to play.”
